How to Clean Wall Coverings

Wall coverings are a perfect home-interior option, as they add an extra design element without the need of new paint or wallpaper. Coverings such as vinyl, cloth, burlap or even painted wall art and murals work well in unfinished areas of the home, as they give a new design element to a room. Placing a wall covering in an area can brighten a room, cover imperfections, and change the design easily when you wish to alter the look of a room. Cleaning the wall coverings is also an easy process.

Things You'll Need
*Vacuum with hose attachment
*Softlan
*Water
*Sponge

Instructions
============
1.
Vacuum the wall coverings every few months with the hose attachment of a vacuum cleaner. Often, this is all that will be required to keep your wall coverings looking clean and bright.

2.
Determine if your wall coverings are washable. If so, fill the sink with a gallon of water and a teaspoon of laundry detergent. The detergent will create a safe, mild cleaning agent that will remove any residue from the wall coverings.

3.
Dip a sponge in the soapy water, and wring out excess water. Wipe over the wall coverings gently, rubbing in small circular motions. Focus especially on areas of heavy residue or buildup, which may require several cleaning applications.

4.
Allow the wall coverings to air-dry, and repeat as needed to keep the wall coverings looking their best
